Fairfield Porter

The Parrish Art Museum houses a great collection of painter Fairfield Porter’s work, viewable online. Porter was (1907-1975) an American realist with an “ability to reveal extraordinariness in ordinary life”, and that is of course exactly my cup of tea. Here are some of his more urban images.
